Oceana Hamilton is a classic post player (5 and 4) who finished a productive college career at Big Ten power Northwestern University (NCAA1) in 2017-2018, after playing two years at the University of Alabama (SEC). Although Oceana played limited minutes at Northwestern (averaged 11 minutes/game) she was a defensive force off of the bench who made a difference in the games she played. Oceana averaged 3 points and nearly 3 rebounds per game during her senior campaign, including a stellar 15 point performance against Michigan State.
It wasn't until her first professional season in Australia in 2019 that the full abilities of Oceana were showcased. She was named the Grand Finals MVP after dominant play in the Premier League postseason. For the 2019 season in Forestville (Adelaide, Australia), Oceana averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds per contest (20 minutes per game over 18 games). She turned it on when it really mattered, scoring 16 points and pulling down 12 rebounds on her way to winning the league championship!
