Tamika is a strong, athletic, smart player. She has an uncanny knack for getting layups and shooting at consistently high percentages. She is always in the right place at the right time. She hustles and gets rebounds and loose balls. She is an outstanding defender who has the ability to guard different positions. She can guard someone big on the block and is also agile enough to defend smaller, quick guards on the wing (as she did against Stacey Dales in the 2002 NCAA Championship Game against Oklahoma). Tamika has a great understanding of the game and will bring intelligence, hard work, and points and rebounds to any team she plays for. Tamika knows how to win and is very cool under pressure. She had no trouble adjusting to the professional level, as she ranked in the top 20 in 8 statistical categories.
