DeMya was considered the ACC's most complete player. She a is very quick and athletic post player. She is Virginia's all-time leader in field goal percentage (56%). DeMya is extremely agile and has the ability to score with her back to the basket or facing up. She is an excellent rebounder and solid shot blocker.
• DeMya was picked up in the dispersal draft and went to the Sacramento Monarchs for the 2003 season
• Had a breakthrough 2002 season in the WNBA where she doubled her points scored and minutes played from the previous season and also started in 29 of the 31 games that she played
